    General Notes: Based on definitions provided by HUD, "sheltered homeless veterans" are people who served on active duty in the armed forces of the United States and who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, but are staying in emergency shelters, transitional housing programs, or safe havens. Veterans include Reserves and National Guard members who were called up to active duty.
