This data series represents, "Average value of all in-kind contributions received by reporting nonprofit arts organizations in each participating community during the fiscal year. This figure is calculated by dividing the total value of all inkind contributions received (column seven) by the total number of reporting nonprofit arts organizations in each community." Not all regions of study that participated in the survey are included in this data series. City geographic codes were assigned to regions of study where possible and were assigned for counties and cities that were surveyed as a single geographic entity. These county and city combinations include (by fiscal year): Fiscal year 2000 and 2005: St. Louis, MO (Place Code 1600000US2965000) includes "City and County of St. Louis, MO." Fiscal year 2010: San Francisco, CA (Place Code 1600000US0667000) includes "City and County of San Francisco, CA." St. Louis, MO (Place Code 1600000US2965000) includes "City and County of St. Louis, MO." Philadelphia, PA (Place Code 1600000US4260000) includes "City and County of Philadelphia, PA."
