    General Notes: *Median value is not reflective of the entire country. This data series represents, "The total arts event-related dollars spent by non-residents during the fiscal year. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total number of non-resident arts event attendees by the average arts event-related dollars spent per person by non-residents." Not all regions of study that participated in the survey are included in this data series. County geographic FIPS codes were assigned to regions of study where possible and were assigned for counties and cities that were surveyed as a single geographic entity. These county and city combinations include (by fiscal year): Fiscal year 2000 and 2005: St. Louis County, MO (Place Code 29510) includes "City and County of St. Louis, MO." Fiscal year 2010: San Francisco County, CA (Place Code 06075) includes "City and County of San Francisco, CA." St. Louis County, MO (Place Code 29510) includes "City and County of St. Louis, MO." Philadelphia County, PA (Place Code 42101) includes "City and County of Philadelphia, PA." Fiscal year 2015: San Francisco County, CA (Place Code 06075) includes "City and County of San Francisco, CA." Philadelphia County, PA (Place Code 42101) includes "City and County of Philadelphia, PA." Additionally, Maricopa County, AZ (Place Code 04013) represents "Western Maricopa County, AZ (cities of Glendale & Peoria)."
