* Data for all years have been updated to reflect the CDC data updates completed in June 2015.
Cumulative data for five-year period. Results are suppressed for counts less than four in order to protect privacy; SAGE Stats has imputed a value of "2" to these results for years up to 2012, but it should be considered an estimate. The sum of all Metro Areas does not sum to national total.

General Notes: *Median value gives the value for the "average" metro area for this metric, the 50th percentile of all metro areas reporting data. **Data given are cumulative for five-year period. Cases are only counted once per twelve-month period but are counted again in subsequent years if the patient was "discharged from supervision" for more than twelve months. A # symbol indicates the following: Results are suppressed for counts less than four in order to protect privacy. Metro Area data are for Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) with populations of 500,000 or more and are based on the patient's residence at the time of TB diagnosis. All qualifying MSAs are included in national median, including suppressed values. Sum of MSAs does not match national total, as not all TB cases are reported by MSA. Data from the following metro areas from the following years are unavailable: 1993-2006: Chattanooga, TN-GA and Ogden-Clearfield, UT 2007: Lancaster, PA 2010: Provo-Orem, UT
