Presented in constant 2009 dollars in order to measure the real change in earnings and income when inflation is taken into account. Earnings are the sum of wages, salaries, and other sources including proprietors income and labor income. Earnings are also based on the geographic location of the establishment, not the personal residence of the employee. Industries are defined by the 2002 North American Industry Classification System Manual (NAICS).
