We’re pleased to announce that Data Planet has been renamed Sage Data.

How does Sage Data support data research?

Sage Data saves time and effort by providing a single platform to quickly find, explore, visualize, and share detailed data from the most trusted source providers.   • Access 550+ U.S. and international databases through one central, uniform platform.

  • Find detailed locale and business data with multiple search and browse options.

  • View daily, weekly, monthly, and annual updates to datasets as data is released by the source providers.

  • Create custom data visualizations such as maps and trend charts to extract insight more easily.

  • Includes our Data Basics resource, a reference guide to working with and interpreting statistics.

Why the name change?

With the launch of our refreshed look and mindset for the growing suite of Sage Learning Resources we wanted to ensure that Sage Data was fully integrated with all Sage resources. Thanks to this refresh, we are better able to demonstrate how Sage Data can help every library create an impact on research and learning.

I am a current customer: What can I expect from this name change?

The new name and refreshed look of the platform will not impact content or functionality.

  • Our product URL was updated in July: Read our FAQ to understand to learn more and complete the checklist to ensure continued access.

  • Same content, same user experience: Nothing has changed in our content offering, your holdings, or in the functionality of the platform.

  • Updated platform aesthetics: A new logo and color scheme have been implemented on the platform.

  • All instances of Data Planet on the platform and in customer communications will be updated to Sage Data.

  • All COUNTER usage reports have been retroactively updated with the new Sage Data name.

  • Relaxed transition from Data Planet to Sage Data: We know it can be difficult to remember new names and update resources—thank you for your patience as we steadily update our information and resources to Sage Data.
